Flag carrier Qatar Airways has launched a non-stop service from Doha to Prague, Czech Republic, a report said.

The carrier's inaugural flight landed in Prague on August 20 and was operated by an Airbus A320, said a report in Malay Online.

“Prague has long been a highly sought after destination by our passengers. We have listened to their requests and we have responded by proudly bringing them this daily service from our hub in Doha to the city of Prague," the report cited Qatar Airways group chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker as saying.

Qatar Airways is expediting its expansion in Eastern Europe, with service to Kyiv, Ukraine set to commence next week, it said.
