Tilal Liwa Hotel distributes Iftar boxes for Ramadan
ABU DHABI, June 6, 2017
Tilal Liwa Hotel in Abu Dhabi marked the holy month of Ramadan with the ‘Year of Giving’ initiative by distributing packed Iftar boxes containing an Iftar meal, dates and refreshing juice at the nearby town of Madinat Zayed.
The UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan declared 2017 as the ‘Year of Giving’ to promote the culture of giving back to the community and thereby enhance the spirit of volunteering. It focuses on three main pillars: the first aims to create a sense of community responsibility in the private sector to fulfill its role of serving the community and contribute in its development; the second pillar aims to enhance the spirit of volunteering in order to effectively assist in social development and community services while the third pillar aims at instilling loyalty and commitment in the next generation to serve their country.
The Year of Giving epitomises the method adopted by the UAE ever since its formation, which is based on helping others without expecting anything in return.
Khaled Sharabassy, general manager said: “On behalf of the property, I take this unique opportunity to extend warm Ramadan greetings to one and all. Tilal Liwa Hotel has always wholeheartedly participated in the initiatives of the UAE’s visionary leadership and the noble traditions of the holy month of Ramadan present the perfect occasion to display our support during the ‘’Year of Giving’ by distributing Iftar boxes at the nearby town of Madinat Zayed. It gains added significance as this town was established by one of UAE’s greatest visionaries, the late Ruler of Abu Dhabi and President of the UAE, His Highness Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.” - TradeArabia News Service
