Gulf Air promotes destination Georgia to Bahrain travel trade

MANAMA, June 4, 2017

Bahrain national carrier Gulf Air recently hosted key members of kingdom’s travel trade industry at the Movenpick Hotel Bahrain to announce the launch of flights to Tbilisi on June 22 and promote Georgia as a destination for every kind of traveller.

The event was was hosted in partnership with the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) and Voyager, Gulf Air’s general sales agent (GSA) in Georgia.

Guests were welcomed by Esam Al Hammadi, Gulf Air country manager Bahrain, who spoke of the importance of synergy between Gulf Air the Georgian National Tourism Administration and Voyager as all three entities work together to boost travel and tourism to this destination.

Amiran Ivanidze, COO of Convention and Exhibition Bureau of Georgia, GNTA, spoke of the growing popularity of Georgia as a destination particularly for year-round leisure and Mice visitors, while Mariam Kvrivishvili, general director, Voyager, elaborated on the many attractions of Tbilisi and neighbouring areas which draw visitors for all of medical and wellness tourism, family holidays, ski, lakeside, cultural and adventure holidays.

Gulf Air’s direct three weekly flights between Bahrain International Airport and Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport will commence on June 22 and Voyager will facilitate ticket sales from/to Tbilisi and beyond, across the Gulf Air network.

Gulf Air operates double daily flights or more to 10 regional cities, providing seamless connectivity for passengers travelling across its network via its efficient Bahrain International Airport hub. - TradeArabia News Service
