DOHA, May 16, 2017

Global Megatrends and their Effect on Middle East Hospitality’ and ‘Affordable Luxury’ will be the key topics of discussion at the Hotelier Summit Middle East on May 17 and 18 in Doha, Qatar.

The two-day summit will provide unrivalled practical knowledge designed to add real value to hotel’s business operations.

The summit is organised by IDE Consulting Services, a global real estate solutions provider. PwC Middle East is, alongside IDE, is the ‘Official Knowledge Partner’ of the Summit.

“Factors such as rapid urbanisation, demographic and social changes, shift in global economic power, resource scarcity and climate change, and technological breakthroughs are rapidly changing the dynamics of the global and regional hospitality industry. Moreover, Doha is an important market for the hospitality sector in the Middle East due to the strides it is taking to establish itself as a leisure tourism destination. For instance, ‘KE’, the Platinum Partner of the summit, will be coming in from Suzhou, China to showcase their premium collection of Chinese silk tapestries.

“Our company focuses on Chinese silk tapestry skills and combines it with world famous Suzhou handicrafts. We are participating in the Hotelier Summit Middle East because we want to revive the traditional heritage of weaving woollen tapestry, which represents the highest level of weaving skills in China. The products we will display at the event are designed to respond to the needs of contemporary feelings and aesthetics with a touch of traditional Chinese craftsmanship.” Said Fan Weiyan, Art Director, Yanding Creative Culture Design

Companies like KE and Muraspec will benefit immensely by participating in the summit because hotel owners and operators around the world are now focussing on both aesthetics and energy efficiency as two sides of the same coin.
