Baby born on Turkish Airlines flight

ISTANBUL, April 8, 2017

A passenger gave birth on a Turkish Airlines flight on Friday as the aircraft was on its way from Conakry (Guinea) to Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso).

The cabin crew, who saw the woman named Nafi Diaby, a 28-week-old pregnant traveller, was suffering labour pains, promptly responded to her and assisted in the delivery of the baby.

After the smooth landing of Boeing B737-900 type aircraft to the Ouagadougou Airport, the mother and her newborn baby girl were taken to hospital for observation.

Turkish Airlines’ Ouagadougou station officials reported that the baby, named Kadiju, and the mother are healthy.  - TradeArabia News Service
