Jumeirah Restaurant Group unveils new healthy F&B brand

DUBAI, March 16, 2017

Jumeirah Restaurant Group (JRG), the homegrown restaurant management company based in Dubai, will expand its portfolio of international restaurants and brands with the launch of Flow, a new healthy eating and creative hub in Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

Homegrown health hub and creative workspace Flow, which opens its doors on March 19 in the iconic downtown Dubai landmark is the latest in a series of successful and prestigious F&B brands launched and operated by Jumeirah Restaurant Group. It adds to the culinary powerhouse’s impressive portfolio of award-winning restaurants and hospitality venues which include Pai Thai, Al Nafoorah, Pier Chic and 360°.

Conceived as a visionary health hub where patrons connect, create and converse to enter the Flow ‘state of mind’ - a mental state where the UAE’s youth and future leaders can achieve maximum potential - the concept is borne out of an inspirational statement given to the venue from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai: “We are a young country, proud of its youth”.

JRG have overseen all aspects of the outlet’s conceptual, creative, design and project management phases to create a truly unique concept unlike any other in Dubai .

“Flow has been created as a healthy-eating hub designed to inspire Dubai’s tomorrow and fuel our future leaders through healthy, ethically-sourced food and fresh, natural beverages,” said Emma Banks, JRG’s general manager. “Jumeirah Restaurant Group leads the way in pioneering F&B ventures and this latest addition to our expansive portfolio will further strengthen the Group’s diversity. Flow will host the UAE’s next generation of innovative leaders, allowing them to connect, create and converse over nutritious food and specialty coffee.”

A modern majilis committed to serving fresh and, where possible, organic and locally-sourced food, Flow aims to foster a more vibrant, healthy and engaged youth community via ‘recognisable food made healthy’. The menu will offer visually-stimulating small dishes designed for sharing, along with healthy snacks, salads and daily grab-and-go bites portioned just right to give that long-lasting boost of energy rather than a post-meal slump.

The hub’s offerings include a mix of vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and Paleo-friendly options. Fresh juices will also be on sale, with a unique ‘Juice of the Week’ mixed up for thirsty guests.
Opening early to serve morning commuters, Flow is proud to be serving coffee exclusively from Dubai’s very own, The Espresso Lab, founded by Emirati entrepreneur Ibrahim Al Mallouhi. Having hand selected the highest quality beans from across the world, Al Mallouhi has also worked closely with Flow’s Baristas to ensure they are trained to strict international standards.

One of its major USPs, Flow will boast the country’s first-ever ‘milk taps’ for customers, which are just one of the many unique and Instagram-friendly features of the space. The state-of-the-art, revolutionary milk dispensers offer a unique and pioneering experience for Flow’s clientele to personalise their dishes and drinks as they see fit. With almond, rice, soya and coconut milk, as well as low fat and whole cow’s milk available, the taps are the perfect pairing for the outlet’s homemade granola and extensive coffee options.

In fact the entire space has been conceptualized for Instagram to encourage sharing and digital conversation; from the groundbreaking milk taps, to impressive inspirational quotes and a beautifully presented menu of stand-out hero dishes such as a soon-to-be famous, beetroot cupcake, and an organic chicken slider served in a black charcoal bun.

As Flow is a youth initiative, all front-of-house staff, including management, are under 30 years of age – a physical reflection of the venue’s mission to cultivate the ideas and hunger of the younger generation.

A dedicated app is also in the process of being developed, which will allow those working in Jumeirah Emirates Tower to order food and beverages direct to their desks.

With its stimulating design and inspirational mission statement, Flow will also serve as an open workspace with plugs, USB connections and wi-fi, while the back of the restaurant can be booked for larger meetings. The space will also host regular round-tables featuring young leaders to stimulate imaginations, reshape the cultural landscape, cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit, and get guests into the Flow state of mind. - TradeArabia News Service
