The St. Regis Athletic Club offers variety of recreation courses

Located on Saadiyat’s beach-front resort, The St. Regis Athletic Club, the 3,500-sq-m state-of-the-art fitness facility, now offers guests an exceptional variety of recreational courses that are designed to fulfill both body and spirit.

Fitness aficionados and residents can partake in various water sport activities, swimming lessons, and group classes offered along with full access to the workout facility.

Water sport enthusiasts can choose from a comprehensive range of activities to include kayaking, stand up paddling, and boogie boarding. Available from 9am to sunset for adults and children, all water-based activities can be booked at the watersport station on the beach.

The water fun continues at the 25-meter indoor lap pool, where certified coaches provide swimming lessons for beginners and experts alike. From learning to swim or improving stroke techniques, to training for a competitive sport, every lesson is based on the skill and requirement of each guest.

Guests of all ages - infants to adults, can enjoy the bespoke lessons with a choice between private sessions or in a group of four or six. Every trainee will receive a swim cap, swim ribbon, and a certificate for completing the full course. Taking place every Thursday and Saturday from 4pm to 8.30pm, the swimming courses include: Learn to Swim (for children aged 1- 10), Aqua Baby (for infants aged 6-30months), Adult Swimming Classes (for beginners and intermediates), Stroke Correction, and Private Lessons.

From cardio and strength and conditioning, to dance and mixed martial arts, the group class focus on the circuit, cardio, and core training. A variety of fun classes are conducted at the multi-function rooms to include total body blast, Zumba, yoga, power abs, boxing, and indoor cycling, all available in the morning from 8.30am to 11.00am, and in the evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

Guests can enrol for personal training sessions with a team of internationally certified fitness instructors who will tailor programs depending on guest requirements and goals.

After an uncompromising workout, guests can unwind by any one of the four outdoor pools or on the pristine private beach and enjoy culinary delights from either the Pool & Beach Bar or Turquoiz, the resort’s beachfront restaurant.

The St. Regis Athletic Club is one of the most well-appointed gymnasiums in the city, spread over two levels and includes a steam room, sauna, and Jacuzzi. With inspiring interiors, the fitness club includes studios with plenty of space for warm-up and warm-down sessions after aerobics, spinning, yoga and Pilates; a dedicated juice bar; and a 25-meter indoor lap pool, ensuring that every fitness need is catered to. For the more competitively inclined, the club features two squash courts and two outdoor tennis courts.

Water sports activities are priced at Dh70 ($19) for 30-minute session of single kayaking, Stand up paddle and boogie boarding while 60-minute sessions are for Dh100 ($27.2). Double kayaking is priced at Dh100 for 30-minutes and Dh130 ($35.3) for 60-minutes.

All swimming courses are for 17 weeks with one class per week, and are priced at Dh1,190 ($323.9) for members and Dh1,445 (393.3) for non-members. Private sessions are available at Dh200 ($54.4) for a 30-minute class and Dh350 ($95.2) for a 60-minute class.

Group classes are priced at Dh65 ($17.6) per class or Dh585 ($159.2) per 10 classes for members, and Dh85 ($23) per class or Dh720 ($195.9) per 10 classes for non-members.
