Dubai Parks and Resorts hotel welcomes guests
DUBAI, December 31, 2016
Dubai Parks and Resorts has announced that Lapita Hotel, the first theme park hotel in the emirate, is all set to welcome its first guests on January 2.
A mammoth leisure and entertainment destination spread over a 16-million-sq-ft area, Dubai Parks and Resorts will feature three theme parks - Bollywood Parks Dubai, Motiongate Dubai, and Legoland Dubai, together with Legoland Water Park. The destination will also include Riverland Dubai, a themed retail, dining, and entertainment experience.
Located in the heart of Dubai Parks and Resorts in close proximity to all three connected theme parks, the Polynesian themed clustered resort is the latest addition to Marriott International’s Autograph Collection.
With colourful designs inspired by the South Pacific, Lapita is designed for families and groups planning to stay near the park’s activities and attractions, said a statement from DXB Entertainments, the owner of Dubai Parks and Resorts.
Offering 504 rooms and suites including three villas with three private bedrooms and access to private lagoon-style swimming pools, guests will enjoy a soothing yet captivating stay, it stated.
Boasting a serene atmosphere and lush landscaping, the family-friendly Lapita offers five signature restaurants and bars serving up international fare, from seafood to Chinese specialties, accompanied by live music and entertainment.
Kids will discover endless games and activities, including exciting Polynesian inspired arts and crafts projects at the Luna & Nova Kids and Teens Club. These themed activities are designed to offer endless surprises to children and the young at heart, said the statement.
Commenting on the launch, Klaus Assman, the VP (Retail and Hospitality) at DXB Entertainments, said: "We are delighted to open Dubai’s first theme park hotel at the giant leisure and entertainment destination, further strengthening our position in the country."
“We reaffirm our commitment to cater to the needs of UAE community by offering the best hospitality gateway dedicated to families and friends who wish to stay close to the amusement park. Lapita is the perfect relaxation point after a day of adventures and fun," noted Assman.
Philip Bryson, senior VP at Marriott international, said: "All of us at Marriott international are excited to introduce a truly unique hotel experience to complement our guests' enjoyment of the wonderful destination."
"Everything from the way our guests check-in to the exotic Polynesian experience will enrich our guests’ travel journey, and that is what they will experience at Lapita Hotel Dubai, part of the Autograph Collection," he added.
The key facilities include a 730 sq m ballroom, six meeting rooms and an extensive fitness centre offering personal training and group classes. Guests can also enjoy an escape at the Ola Spa, a Polynesian sanctuary offering soothing and relaxing treatments, an indulgence for the body, mind and senses.
The hotel’s name was inspired by the pre-historic Pacific Ocean people and their journey and settlement into the Islands (the Lapita movement). The design draws its inspiration from the exotic Polynesian tropical landscapes, featuring Polynesian flowers, lagoon-style pools, and themed activities.-TradeArabia News Service
