Emirates new B777X fleet to get Thales IFE solution

DUBAI, October 25, 2016

Dubai's Emirates airline has selected Thales' Avant inflight entertainment (IFE) solution for its future fleet of Boeing 777X aircraft.

With 150 Boeing 777X aircraft on order and deliveries scheduled to begin in 2020, Thales will be the first to equip its inflight entertainment systems on the B777X platform.

In support of Emirates’ long-term ambitions, Thales will establish Discovery Dubai – a custom innovations center for the passenger experience – in the UAE. Managed by Thales, the center will enable Emirates teams to develop and shape their future passenger engagement initiatives and programs in the air and on the ground. Thales will also be setting up a repair center to provide operational support and services to Emirates.

Emirates B777X aircraft will be equipped with the state-of-the-art Avant inflight entertainment solution featuring an innovative and highly customizable user experience.

With the selection of AVANT, Emirates customers will enjoy an immersive and engaging experience.

The airline’s award winning inflight entertainment system, ice is an industry leader in passenger experience, and Thales’s partnership with Emirates will focus on helping the airline drive the highest standards of innovation for ice, from in-seat entertainment to wireless cabin connectivity. - TradeArabia News Service
