Darwiche (R) launches Jannah Times

Jannah Burj Al Sarab unveils new hotel newspaper

ABU DHABI, October 24, 2016

Jannah Burj Al Sarab in Abu Dhabi has unveiled an interesting spin on the local newspaper with the launch of Jannah Times, which contains news of the market, the menu of the day and miscellaneous hotel related stories.

The four-page newspaper will be issued on a daily basis to guests of the five-star hotel and the diners of The Dining Room.

The CEO of Jannah Hotels and Resorts Nehme Imad Darwiche said: “The decision comes ahead of the launch of our new concept business lunch. We were looking for more unique and vibrant alternatives from the traditional menu-order-serve process observed in hotels and restaurants. The Jannah Times will be the first of its kind in the region and we are excited to see the response our hotel newspaper will generate.”

The first edition of the newspaper covers the newly launched business lunch. The distinctive feature of the business lunch is that the dishes are made from ingredients sourced daily from the Mina fruits, vegetables and meat market. “It is a priority for us to serve the freshest food available for diners,” said Darwiche. The three-course meal designed by executive chef Wafi Halimi blends modern French cuisine with Mediterranean flavors.

Overseeing the menu refresh was the Jannah Hotels and Resorts chief operating officer Martin Persson who said: “The Jannah Times will replace the menus at the Dining Room. The objective behind this development is to introduce a more stylish method of customer engagement. Visitors can peruse the paper for the latest on food and beverage, and hospitality news.”

The revamped business lunch boasts an open salad bar, a choice of grilled fish, stuffed chicken and braised lamb for the main course, topped with popular desserts that include tiramisu, chocolate cake and fresh fruit salad. Jannah Times state that the business lunch is available on weekdays from 12:30 pm to 3 pm, at Dh55 ($15) per person. - TradeArabia News Service
