DUBAI, October 9, 2016
UAE-based Alpha Destination Management is giving a big push to its operations and overseas marketing in order to attract more tourists to the Emirates in general and Dubai in particular.
Ghassan Aridi, CEO, Alpha Destination Management said: "Recently we opened a representative office in South Korea. We succeeded to sign a contract with one of the biggest tour operators specialised in MICE tourism, to attract 3,600 tourists by next March."
He added: "The Korean market is one of the promising and most important markets for us. After entering the South Korean market, we are planning to expand our footprint in the region.
“In order to tap the new markets our company has decided to invade the continent for opening different representative offices there to attract more tourists. Our first office will be in Angola shortly followed by more openings in other parts of the African countries, which will be announced in due time," Aridi said.
According to him, opening representative offices in different continents proved its success in attracting more tourists. Opening seven offices in India also helped to increase the number of Indian visitors to the UAE and Dubai during the new tourist season, which started this October and runs till the end of April 2017.
Alpha is also looking to boost cruise tourism massively next year. Aridi said: “We have already signed a contract with one of the biggest cruise operators to operate cruise trips from Dubai to Qatar, and Oman and Bahrain for four or seven days, which will be convenient for all visitors." - TradeArabia News Service
