Indian market'

Desert Adventures Tourism eyes Indian market

DUBAI, October 5, 2016

Desert Adventures, a leading destination management company in the Middle East, is looking to attract and serve the huge numbers of frequent and new travellers from India by launching a series of special holiday travel and tour packages.

Among the distinct benefits that Desert Adventures has prepared in collaboration with hotel and excursion activities partners are cost-effective hotel room rates in choice three- and four-star hotels during the festive season of Diwali, a “one kid free” offer for a family of two adults and one child and a “free upgrade” on a three-night hotel stay package. To make guests travel even more convenient, special pricing for excursions and transfers are also being offered.

“A constantly evolving line-up of tourist attractions have made Dubai and the UAE all the more attractive as a go-to travel destination for first time visitors from India as well as for families and relatives of an expanding Indian community in the UAE,” said Senthilvelan Nandagopal, chief operating officer of Desert Adventures. “As families dream of reuniting and spending special occasions together in the UAE, such as during Diwali, there has also been a lot excitement generated amongst first time and returning Indian tourists who all want to savour and experience Dubai’s new attractions.

“These have encouraged us to work closely with our partners to come up with distinct and cost-effective packages that will surely benefit these travelers from India,” he added. “Clearly, their appetite for travel must be responded to with value-for-money packages that go along with a Desert Adventures assurance of safe, secure and reliable travel experience.”

India has been a major source of tourists for Dubai, with a 17 per cent growth in the opening quarter of 2016. In 2015, its 1.6 million tourists in Dubai made it the largest single source market of tourists for the emirate and the second fastest growing market with a 26 per cent year-on-year growth. During the first six months of 2016, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) also recorded a 23 per cent increase in visitors from India. - TradeArabia News Service
