Armed Forces Officers Club sees high summer occupancy

ABU DHABI, September 14, 2016

Armed Forces Officers’ Club & Hotel in Abu Dhabi has announced a record surge in occupancy rates during the summer season.

The iconic landmark has immediately become a popular choice for conferences, weddings and other celebratory occasions during the last two quarters of 2016. The hotel’s recognition as an event destination has propelled room occupancy rates by a large measure, when compared to the first two quarters of the year.

In a press statement, Dulce Ortega, director of sales and marketing, said, “We are grateful for our strategic position, next to Adnec. With the upcoming Big Boys Toys Exhibition, ADIPEC, and later the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, we look forward to the increased traffic of guests at Armed Forces Officers’ Club and Hotel.”

She added, “Adnec is an important strategic partner of the establishment and we take immense pride in being one of the three only recommended hotels for businessmen, exhibitors and exhibition-visitors of the capital.”

A delegation from Armed Forces Officers’ Club and Hotels are set to participate in a series of promotional events organized by Abu Dhabi Authority for Tourism and Culture, hosted in India in December 2016 aimed at attracting Indian tourists to the UAE.

The Indian promotional tour follows the much awaited participation of Armed Forces Officers’ Club & Hotel at the World Travel Market 2016 held in London in November, where a multitude of new products will be launched to the British and European Market.

In addition, she commended the UAE’s decision to permit Chinese travellers to obtain an entry visa upon arrival at the airport, citing vast improvements observed within the tourism and hospitality market. Armed Forces Officers’ Club and Hotels in association with their partners in China has arranged for a large number of Chinese travellers to stay at the property during the course of their visit and events. Chinese tourists can not only experience the rich Emirati culture, but can also revel in the comfort of authentic Chinese certified services at the hotel from the hand of their Mandarin speaking staff.

Ortega credited Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, for being key in promoting UAE on a global platform by enabling more than 14 million passengers, as well as linking Abu Dhabi to the different regions of the world. Predictions expect a boost in tourism in the UAE in the year 2017 due to the development of Saadiyat Island and the opening of world-famous museums. To accommodate the increasing number of tourists, Etihad Airways are looking to grow their fleet of airplanes.

Regarding further promotional programs for Armed Forces Officers’ Club and Hotel, Ortega said: “We have toured the GCC states, Europe and Asia to strengthen the establishment in the sports, incentive travel, conferences and events market.”

“We offer more than 25 venues at Armed Forces Officers’ Club and Hotel to cater to every taste, palate and occasion. Our dedicated team efficiently transforms our clients’ vision into reality. We combine state-of-the-art sport and entertainment facilities with five-star luxury accommodation that comprises of a unique and unrivalled experience,” she added. - TradeArabia News Service
