Shukayr (L) and Dr Follad (R) sign the agreement

Bahrain to showcase credentials as wedding destination at key event

MANAMA, August 4, 2016

The Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) is pushing ahead in its efforts to position Bahrain as a ‘wedding destination’ with the siging of an agreement with Valley Media International to participate in the upcoming Jewelry Arabia.

Through its participation, BTEA hopes to further attract tourists from Saudi Arabia and India.

The agreement was signed between the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority advisor Dr Ali Follad and Laith Shukayr, general manager of Valley Media International, in the presence of representatives from both entities.

“Jewelry Arabia is one of the top jewelry and luxury exhibitions attracting visitors from different nationalities. It is the perfect platform to promote Bahrain as a wedding destination in partnership with hotels and wedding planners,” said Dr Follad.

“We are delighted to sign this agreement with Valley Media International, a company with vast experience in event and wedding management. The agreement will surely act as an integral tool to the success of our ongoing efforts to position Bahrain as the preferred wedding destination,” he added.

Valley Media International, one of the leading companies in event management, marketing and public relations, will support BTEA’s 2016-2018 strategy to position the kingdom as the preferred wedding destination venue through an integrated outreach programme. The programme will focus on hosting a number of events and activities on the sidelines of the upcoming Jewelry Arabia which will be held between November 22 and 26.

One of the main activities includes installing a booth at the exhibition to promote the key attributes of the kingdom in regards to its rich hospitality offering along with a fashion show hosted by Bahraini and other Arab designers. - TradeArabia News Service
