New pastry chef for Hévéa Café

Hévéa Café, a culinary haven in Bahrain, has welcomed Anton Vijith as its new pastry chef.

A master in the art of moulding exquisite popular culinary delights from everyday ingredients to creating innovative masterpieces that satisfy even the most finicky connoisseurs, chef Vijith brings with him 13 years of experience in the pastry making world producing pastries of all different types and flavours.

A multinational maestro, chef Anton’s adventures in the industry have taken him to many countries, thereby making him an expert in catering to a wide array of tastes and enabling him to produce pastries that consistently satisfy. His innate skills, honed through years of practising entitled Chef Anton to a distinguished award for Chocolate Show Piece in the presitigous Diyafa Culinary Art competition at Doha, Qatar in December 2009.

Welcoming chef Vijith, head chef and general manager of Hévéa Café chef Guy Gateau said: “It is with great pleasure that I welcome Chef Anton into our humble fold. Hévéa Café also announced the launch of its All New Post Ramadan Menu that reverts back to its philosophy of fusing different cuisines to produce succulent dishes that are made-to-order to its client base. By personalising concepts of Bahraini, Gulf and Middle Eastern cuisines and permeating it with Indochinese aspects in typical chef Gateau style, the Master Chef has succeeded in creating succulently captivating dishes.

Complementing its delicious, myriad culinary offerings, for the first time starting next month, Hévéa Café will introduce the ‘Cakes to Go’ concept in order to serve the takeout needs for birthdays, anniversaries, corporate parties and all kinds of other celebratory occasions.
