Gulf Air launches non-stop Dhaka flights

MANAMA, June 6, 2016

Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, recently celebrated its inaugural five-weekly service to and from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

Gulf Air flight GF248 was welcomed into Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, the biggest airport in Bangladesh, with a water cannon salute. Upon arrival, a celebratory event was held in the airport that saw the attendance of various dignitaries including Gulf Air flight’s captain and crew, Gulf Air’s country manager to Bangladesh Hussain Ghuloom and a number of local media and travel industry representatives, alongside official Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport officials.

Serving seven destinations in Pakistan and six in India, Gulf Air’s Dhaka service enhances the airline’s existing Indian Subcontinent operations providing strong connectivity to destinations across Gulf Air’s Middle East network and beyond via the airline’s hub, Bahrain International Airport.

Gulf Air's five-weekly flights to Dhaka are operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft with a total of 16 Falcon Gold business class seats and 120 economy class seats. - TradeArabia News Service
