Omran offers retail space at 'Bazaar Al Mina'
MUSCAT, March 24, 2016
Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) is calling out to small and medium businesses who wish to apply for retail space at the ‘Bazaar Al Mina’ in Muscat, said a report.
Expected to open in November, Bazaar Al Mina is the first project at the 451,000 sq m Mina Sultan Qaboos Waterfront, the Oman Daily Observer reported
The Bazaar Al Mina will be a modern business incubator for new Omani businesses in the food and beverage and retail sectors. The 3,300 sq mt Bazaar will include space for 40 vendors, including permanent retails spaces and a regular pop-up street food market.
Fahad Al Hinai, senior development manager at Oman said: “The objective of ‘Bazaar Al Mina’ is to invest-in and accelerate high potential local start-ups and businesses with innovative and creative ideas to sustainable grow their business in the long term, by providing them with an opportunity to pitch their interesting ideas in a wide area of verticals including catering, retail, fashion, accessories, entertainment, decorative arts, craft, textiles, design, furniture, jewellery, gifts, organic products and many others to secure their retail spaces and engage directly with the visitors of the Mina Sultan Qaboos Waterfront.”
The applications will be shortlisted based on creativity and innovation of the products and services that will cater to a vast array of consumers at Mina Sultan Qaboos Waterfront, the report said.
