Attendees at the appreciation ceremony

Shop Bahrain celebrates success with partners

MANAMA, March 23, 2016

Organisers of Shop Bahrain, the largest event in the kingdom, held an appreciation ceremony for all the stakeholders and partners involved in the second edition of the festival.

The event, held at Downtown Rotana, aimed to thank all partners from the public and private sectors as well as the media and social media influencers.

“Shop Bahrain is supported by Tamkeen due to its great importance, as such initiatives are in line with the kingdom’s vision to diversify the economy by supporting national projects. The festival was also able to generate over 175 opportunities for Bahraini students to gain practical experience within the labour market, conforming to Tamkeen’s vision of nurturing young talents,” said the chief executive of Tamkeen, Dr Ibrahim Janahi.

Further commenting on the event, Shop Bahrain project director, Nawaf Al Kooheji, said: ‘Through this event, we would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to all stakeholders who made this event a success. We are proud of this achievement which truly portrays the great cooperation and dedication between the public and private sectors.”

“We are currently preparing for the upcoming edition of the festival which will be bigger and better and hope to continue the partnership developed with all stakeholders,” added Al Kooheji.

‘Shop Bahrain’ was a 30-day event that aimed to captivate shoppers and visitors through different events and activities held at the participating malls in order to get a distinctive shopping experience for the visitors. The festival rewarded more than 20,000 shoppers through instant prizes as well as cars, gold coins, air tickets, and electronic devices. - TradeArabia News Service
