Passengers rush out after explosions

Up to 10 dead in Brussels airport blast

BRUSSELS, March 22, 2016

As many as 10 people died in explosions at Brussels airport on Tuesday, Belgian public broadcaster RTBF said, citing sources at the nearest hospital, where casualties were taken.

Thirty people were also wounded and taken to the hospital, RTBF said.

RTBF also reported that an explosion was heard at Maelbeek metro station in Brussels, close to the EU institutions. Metro operator STIB announced on Twitter that the metro was closing. - Reuters
