AMMAN, December 9, 2015
Royal Jordanian yesterday (December 8) celebrated the inauguration of regular flights between Amman and Ankara, the capital of Turkey.

Also attending were the Jordanian embassy’s staff, the GM of the airport, officials of the local authorities in the city. A delegation from RJ was also on board that flight from Amman, in addition to RJ’s Ankara and Istanbul employees.
Adayleh stressed the significance of operating this route between Amman and Ankara after 10 years of suspension due to commercial reasons. He said that the flights will boost relations between the two countries and will serve the Jordanian and Arab communities living in Ankara and Anatolia in general.
This route will stimulate the bilateral commercial relations and tourism, added to catering for the demand of businessmen and students from both countries.
This flight will also transport Turkish Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, who visit Mecca and Madinah in Saudi Arabia, transiting via Queen Alia Airport, Amman.
Zaker Majali, head of Sales and Marketing at RJ, expressed hope that this station will back the RJ route network in the region, thus increasing traffic between Jordan and Turkey.
