Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi-based investment and development company, will have a significant presence at the Dubai Airshow, the Middle East’s leading aerospace event, which opens tomorrow (November 8).

The company will showcase assets from its aerospace and engineering services portfolio including Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), Piaggio Aerospace, Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park, Sanad, SR Technics, Strata Manufacturing and Turbine Services and Solutions Aerospace (TS&S Aerospace).

This is the fifth consecutive year the Abu Dhabi firm is taking part in the Dubai Airshow, which runs till November 12 at Dubai World Central.

During this year’s exhibition, Mubadala will showcase its aerospace journey from when it began in 2007 through the formation of partnerships and initiating investments with world leading organizations, to blending its global expertise with local resources creating two core offerings in manufacturing and services, today.

Mubadala’s manufacturing companies are championed by Strata, now in its sixth year with nearly 700 employees, Strata is an advanced composite aerostructures manufacturing facility based in Al Ain, which boasts a 45 per cent Emiratization rate – over 84 per cent of which are females.

Piaggio Aerospace, which designs, develops, builds and maintains aircraft, aircraft engines and structural components, rounds out Mubadala’s international manufacturing offering.

The service related companies include SR Technics, which is today one of the world's leading total solutions providers of aircraft, component, engine and technical services; Yahsat, the eighth largest satellite operator in the world, which will be taking delivery of its third satellite, Al Yah 3, in the fourth quarter of 2016; TS&S Aerospace, the region’s premier engine MRO services provider working with global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and Sanad, an industry leader in integrated financing and leasing solutions for spare engine and aircraft components.

With Emiratisation and knowledge development at the heart of their growth strategies, the companies are committed to creating over 10,000 jobs via the Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park by 2030, said Mubadala in its statement.
