Oman Air rehearses emergency response plan

MUSCAT, October 7, 2015

An emergency response exercise was held by Oman Air at its headquarters in Muscat which brought together senior managers, operational team leaders and an eight member exercise control team to test the strength of the emergency response plan.

A two member team from world-renowned experts Kenyon International Emergency Services oversaw the event. The company coordinated its support functions from its Emergency Centre in Bracknell, UK.

The entire exercise was monitored from the Emergency Response Cenre (ERC) by Oman Air chief executive officer Paul Gregorowitsch, who was also on hand to advise and support Emergency director Adil Sheibani and his team.

Gregorowitsch said: “Oman Air’s overriding consideration is the safety and well-being of all our valued passengers and staff. The positive outcomes from this exercise are the result of the commitment and enthusiasm offered by all the staff involved and I am grateful for all their hard work. I would particularly like to thank Captain Waheed Al Subhi, senior manager safety and emergency response planning, for his leadership and expertise. Overall, this exercise has been a powerful learning experience.” – TradeArabia News Service
