Al Areen appoints new spa services director

MANAMA, September 1, 2015

The Al Areen Palace & Spa, a luxurious hotel in Bahrain, has welcomed Sirirat Fungkhajon as its new director for spa services.

Fungkhajon comes from Asia with more than 12 years of international expertise in spa management. She honed her skills at the Banyan Tree Spa in Thailand and gained a reputation as a spa consultant by setting up Bliss Spa in Cambodia.

In 2004, she managed and set up the I SPA, which is the biggest spa in China and now there are 18 branches located in five-star hotels such as JW Marriot, Intercontinental Hotel and Hilton Group.

While still overseeing operations for I SPA, Fungkhajon spent much of the last seven years managing Jasmine Spa for Cambodia's only local five-star hotel chain, Sokha Hotels and Resorts, and has been the group director of spa operations there since 2006. She also provides consultancy advices for many spas in China, Oman, Cambodia and Thailand.

She boasts several internationally recognised spa diplomas, including CIBTAC- Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology - from the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology.

Pierre Vasseur, General Manager of Al Areen Palace & Spa, said: "With the addition of Sirirat to the Spa team, I believe Al Areen Spa will reach greater heights. The skills & experience that she brings with her clubbed with the technology & facilities at the spa will truly make it a luxurious and grand experience for all our customers." – TradeArabia News Service
