Kuwait Airways...emergency landing

Bird crashes into Kuwait Airways' cockpit window

KUWAIT, August 27, 2015

A Mumbai-bound Kuwait Airways flight was forced to return to Kuwait Airport after a bird crashed into the plane’s cockpit window, a report said.

According to a statement released by the airline, Flight KU301 made a safe return to the airport following the incident, the Kuwait News Agency reported.

Passengers were moved to an alternative aircraft to resume their journey, the report said.

Birds crashing into planes is a common occurrence, rarely resulting in fatalities. However, 65 percent of bird strikes cause just superficial damage to the plane.
