Kuwait Airways plans additional flights to Muscat
MUSCAT, August 23, 2015
Kuwait Airways, the national carrier of the country, plans to add two new non-stop flights to Muscat, Oman, starting August 31, said a report.
Currently, the airline operates two flights a week from Kuwait to Muscat with a stop in Abu Dhabi. The recent acquisition of seven new A320 aircraft will further enable Kuwait airways to expand its operations on flights to Muscat, a report in Muscat Daily said.
The new A320 fleet is equipped with Airbus’ innovate Runway Overrun Prevention System (ROPS) technology which increases pilot's situational awareness during landing, reduces exposures to runway excursion risk, and if necessary, provides active protection.
Moreover, the new aircraft will feature an 18-inch wide seat, an extra-wide aisle for faster boarding, as well as more space for carry-on baggage, the report said.
As part of efforts to promote new additional services, Kuwait Airways has launched a special promotional offers to Kuwait, various destinations in Indian subcontinent and Far East to attract passengers. Furthermore, customers traveling from Muscat during the promotional period will be allowed an additional 10 kg free baggage allowance.
