Radisson Blu Martinez team receive the certificate

Radisson Blu Martinez receives top certification

BEIRUT, August 4, 2015

Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel in Lebanon was recently awarded the Premium Certification from Safehotels– a globally recognised security consultancy.

The announcement marks a unique achievement for the hotel, with Radisson Blu being the first hotel to obtain such a credit in Lebanon.

“Safety & Security play an increasingly important role for everyone here in Lebanon. This certification allows us to further develop and enhance our safety and security programme and to create additional value for our guests, staff and owners”, said Kosta, general manager of Radisson Blu Martinez Beirut.

From January, Carlson Rezidor hotels selected across the EMEA region have begun the formal Safehotels certification process. Within this, a number of criteria will be covered including security equipment, staff awareness and training, fire security, and first aid. Safehotels will also evaluate the hotel’s existing self-assessment internal hotel security programme through monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the self-assessment hotel database and submittals.

The Premium certification is awarded to business hotels in major cities, which keep a high international security level. Equipment necessary for this level certification include surveillance, safe deposits, alarm- and key systems and communication. The hotels keep a very high level of preparedness concerning VIP treatment and Conference security.

To ensure all criteria are met, Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel has worked closely with Safehotels to align the brand expectations and self-assessment programme with the Safehotels standard.

“By reaching the level of Safehotels certification and especially the Premium Certification, it only shows that the hotel focuses on key elements of guest security relating to personal property and has the right response if ever there’s an accident or any kind of emergency. The certificate shows the hotel is sincere in its guest’s personal well-being. Being audited and certified yearly by a third party strengthens the value of that communication immensely”, said Kosta.

This certification builds on the existing safety and security measures implemented by Radisson Blu. The hotel continues to maintain exceptional standards in its property, with 24/7 monitoring via a global security operations centre and access to the self-assessment programme, learning tools and templates for incident response and crisis management. – TradeArabia News Service
