Visiting delegates with GAA officials

GAA training programmes reviewed by top delegates

MANAMA, June 25, 2015

Bahrain-based Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) played host to a number of visiting delegates from 13 countries who were in the kingdom to attend the 15th meeting of the Middle East Regional Air Navigation Planning and Implementation Group.

This event, hosted by the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry, attracted Middle East members of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and seven international organisations from the aviation industry, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The visiting delegation toured GAA’s Bahrain Air Traffic Control (ATC) Training Centre to learn about the ATC courses offered and see the state-of-the-art training simulator that is used as part of a comprehensive curriculum conforming to ICAO standards and recommended
practices.

The delegation which consisted of air traffic controllers from many countries including Egypt, Kenya and Sudan were keen to see how GAA’s diverse aviation programmes could be extended to their countries. - TradeArabia News Service
