Dmg events appoints new VP-design and hospitality

Dmg events, an international exhibition company, has appointed Andy Stuart as the new vice president of the company’s Design and Hospitality Division for the Middle East and Asia.
Stuart, who will take over responsibility from Mike Allsopp following his retirement in September this year, will oversee the current portfolio of marketing leading events, developing and evolving the division with expansion into new territories and sectors.

With an existing stable of market leading events together with ambitious growth plans, this role presents me with a fantastic opportunity. Stuart’s career has spanned 16 years during which he headed UBM’s largest event portfolio, Design and the Built Environment, comprising five large scale events, five large conferences, numerous awards programmes and digital platforms.
His past experiences includes numerous show launches, awards, publications, digital-based communities with operational experience throughout UK and Europe, India, Russia, UAE, China and the US. Prior to joining UBM Stuart launched and sold his own exhibition business to UBM, highlighting his entrepreneurial expertise and his ability to push the boundaries, take calculated risks and fulfil the role of business owner.
