Carlson Rezidor, Al Hokair plan four hotels

DUBAI, May 10, 2015

Carlson Rezidor, one of the leading hotel groups worldwide, and Al Hokair Group, a major hospitality company in Saudi Arabia, have further strengthened their strategic partnership by announcing four new hotels.

The new properties are Park Inn by Radisson Al Barsha First in Dubai, UAE; Park Inn by Radisson Jubail Industrial City, Park Inn by Radisson Jubail Corniche, and Radisson Blu Hotel, Al Khobar Al Rakkah (all in Saudi Arabia).

Carlson Rezidor and Al Hokair have a country development agreement for Saudi Arabia – covering approximately 30 hotels and it is being complemented by select projects outside the kingdom.

“We are delighted to extend our joint network and thank Al Hokair for their ongoing trust in us. Both the UAE and Saudi Arabia are key markets where we want to grow further together with experienced regional partners,” said Wolfgang M Neumann, president & CEO of Rezidor at the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference in Dubai.

“Dubai remains a global hub with long-term potential. Our total portfolio in the city now comprises more than 10 hotels with approximately 2,600 rooms, and we see more potential for our core brands Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson. We also aim to bring our new brands to Dubai: the luxury Quorvus Collection and the lifestyle select offer Radisson Red will allow us to target additional guest segments and to capture additional market share,” added Elie Younes, executive vice president & chief development officer at Rezidor.

Park Inn by Radisson Al Barsha First will be situated within Dubai’s Al Barsha district offering easy access to attractions such as Mall of the Emirates and to commercial centres like Media City or Internet City. The hotel with 102 rooms is scheduled to open in 2017, and will feature an all-day-dining restaurant, meeting space including a ballroom, and a gym.
Carlson Rezidor already operates a Park Inn by Radisson Residence in Al Barsha which will allow both properties to benefit from operational synergies.

In Saudi Arabia, Carlson Rezidor’s total portfolio comprises over 30 hotels and more than 4,500 rooms.

Park Inn by Radisson Jubail Corniche, a conversion of an existing hotel, will welcome the first guests in early 2016 – comprising 69 rooms, a restaurant, a coffee shop, three meeting rooms, a gym, a spa, and a pool. Its sister hotel Park Inn by Radisson Jubail Industrial City will be a new built property opening in early 2018 and offering 156 rooms, a restaurant, a conference area and six meeting rooms, and a gym.

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Al Khobar will open in early 2018. Besides 150 rooms, the property will have two restaurants,  business class lounge, meeting space including a ball room, a gym, and a spa.

Park Inn by Radisson, Carlson Rezidor’s mid-market brand, has most recently been re-launched as a vibrant offer for the growing clientele of Gen X and Gen Y. Based on the three pillars of “choice”, “connectivity” and “community”, Park Inn by Radisson offers friendly and welcoming hospitality at a competitive price and features services such as free high speed internet access.  - TradeArabia News Service
