Instagram photo contest to showcase Riyadh

RIYADH, April 29, 2015

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities Riyadh Region, and Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre have teamed up to launch an Instagram Photo Contest to showcase the images of the Saudi capital.

Every Wednesday, until May 27, participants will be presented with a theme. They must follow @FSRiyadh and @Alriyadhtour to be eligible for the contest and enter an original photo interpreting the theme using the hashtag #FSRiyadhLove.

Weekly winners will be revealed the following Wednesday and will receive a complimentary one night weekend stay at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh in a Superior Room including breakfast. The weekly winners will also be entered into the final round of the photo contest where a grand prize winner will be awarded a complimentary one night weekend stay at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh in a Presidential Suite including breakfast.

“Instagram is a very popular social media channel in Saudi Arabia and we wanted to capitalise on its popularity and offer a way for Saudis to be ambassadors of their city by presenting their snapped masterpieces of Riyadh and show the world what the city has to offer,” said Abdulaziz Al-Hassan, general manager of the Saudi Commission For Tourism and Antiquities in Riyadh region.

“The #FSRiyadhLove Photo Contest seeks to challenge the image of Riyadh as being a business destination,” said Anthony Tyler, general manager at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh.

“The city has so much more to offer, with a unique and diverse heritage of natural and archaeological sites which support the country in becoming a central destination for touristic and family travel,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
