Sheraton Bahrain to undergo major renovation
MANAMA, April 2, 2015
A landmark five-star hotel in Manama, Bahrain, is set to undergo a major renovation to update its facilities.
The 33-year-old Sheraton Bahrain has 256 rooms and suites that are all set for a facelift, according to its general manager Thomas Flindt, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
“There are no concrete plans as of now but yes renovation work is expected over the next couple of years,” he said.
“There are new hotels coming up and it is important for us to provide quality services.
“This hotel started operations in 1982 and the architecture and interior designs were designed during that period.”
Flindt said that although the facelift is bound to happen, he did not have detailed information on the project.
It could be done in phases or the hotel may be closed down for the renovation work, he added. - TradeArabia News Service
