Tamani Marina wins top environmental award
Dubai, May 13, 2014
Tamani Marina Hotel and Hotel Apartment has won the the silver award in the Best Environmental Hotel category at Mena Travel Awards presented during the recent Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.
The 10th edition of the awards programme was held at the Conrad Dubai Hotel and had been organised by Consultants of Hospitality Administrators (CHA International). This is the third consecutive year that Tamani Marina Hotel had won the Mena Travel Awards, having won the silver awards in the same category in the 2012 and 2013 editions.
The winners were selected through electronic voting by the industry's end-users, guests, customers and trade professionals over 59 days duration. Consequently, the data base programme robotically consolidated and ranked the top six nominees for each category based on the number of votes received.
Price Waterhouse Coopers performed a limited diagnostics over the controls for the award voting process used for Mena Travel Awards. In order to assure the integrity of the voting system, a random 20 calls per entrant per category were made to voters and verification of voting conducted. Out of final six, the top three winners (Platinum, Gold and Silver) were determined by points count.
Walid Al-Awa, general manager, Tamani Marina Hotel and Hotel Apartment, said: “This was our third participation in the awards programme and we have won for the third consecutive year. This not only shows our dedication to our commitments, but also the trust we have built and maintained in a very short span of time since entering the hospitality industry.”
