Turkish LCC to launch Bahrain flights

Turkish low-cost air carrier (LCC) Pegasus Airlines has announced it will launch scheduled flights between Istanbul and Bahrain.

The airline will start servicing the route on June 12 from the Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Istanbul, it said in a bourse filing, according to a report in the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

The carrier said ticket prices on the route start at 70.99 euros ($98).

Flights to Bahrain will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:15pm, whereas flights from Bahrain will depart on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 3:05am.

Bahrain will be connected to 11 locations in Turkey via Pegasus, including Adana, Izmir, Antalya, Van, Diyarbakir, Ankara and Trabzon, and 33 locations in Europe, including Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Moscow, Rome, Madrid, Paris and London.

Pegasus currently flies a scheduled service to 30 destinations within Turkey and 48 in the rest of the world, flying to 78 destinations in 31 countries. – TradeArabia News Service
