Air Miles in benefits tie-up with courier firm

Dubai, March 24, 2014

Air Miles Middle East, the region’s largest loyalty programme, has entered into a partnership with courier company Skycom, which will allow members to earn Air Miles every time they use the courier service in the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain.

Under the partnership, both corporate and consumer Skycom clients will have the ability to earn Air Miles.

“Skycom is celebrating 20 years of service excellence in the UAE and 12 years in Qatar and Bahrain, where our mission is to provide our customers with solutions and the highest possible service,” said Dilip Kulkarni, Skycom chairman.

“This partnership allows us to deliver on that promise by giving value back to our customers while contributing to our growth strategy by tapping into a new market of prospective customers among Air Miles members.”

Aimia Middle East managing director Paul Lacey said: “Courier companies play such an important logistical role for businesses and consumers in the region, with a lot of organisations using courier services on a daily basis. By partnering with Skycom we are continuing our mission to build a valuable network of partnerships that will benefit our members in both their personal lives and professionally.”

“This is our second partnership launch of 2014 - following last month’s announcement that Budget Rent A Car joined Air Miles – demonstrating that we are at a very exciting stage in the development of Air Miles,” he added.
