Gulf Air wins top eContent award

Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air has won the eContent Award 2013 in the category of 'E-Business and Commerce' for its website gulfair.com.
Gulf Air's chief operating officer Captain Nasser Al Salmi received the award on behalf of the airline from Deputy Premier and Supreme Committee for Information and Communications Technology chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and Transportation Minister Kamal Ahmed, said a report.
The event was held at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, said the report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
"The Bahrain eContent Awards 2013 celebrate the best websites in Bahrain and so it is an honour for Gulf Air to be recognised," Captain Al Salmi said.
"This award reflects the national carrier's on-going commitment to delivering the best e-content to travellers.
"It is also a testament to the efforts of our e-commerce team who work to continuously improve our services to better meet the evolving needs of our passengers through utilising newer and smarter technologies to enhance functionality and facilitate their travel experience," he added. - TradeArabia News Service
