Etihad plane makes emergency landing in Brisbane

Dubai, November 22, 2013

An Etihad Airways jet made an emergency landing in Australia's Brisbane on Thursday after issuing a mayday distress call, airport officials were quoted as saying in media reports.

The A330 passenger plane landed safely and all passengers and crew are safe, an Etihad spokesman was quoted as saying by Gulf News.

“Etihad Airways Airbus A330-200 operating flight EY 473 from Brisbane to Singapore with 164 passengers and 11 crew on board returned to Brisbane due to a flight deck instrument failure," said the spokesman in the report.
