New rooms director for Four Seasons Cairo
Cairo, September 10, 2012
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has promoted Yasmine El Gawhary to the position of director of rooms at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo in Nile Plaza, Egypt.
In her new role, El Gawhary will lead a team of 285 staff and oversee the activities of key guest-facing departments such as the concierge, guest services, valet parking, front desk, guest relations, reservations, housekeeping, spa, business center and retail outlets to ensure they live up to the exemplary service standards synonymous with Four Seasons, said a statement from the hotel.
An Egyptian-American national, El Gawhary has served at the Cairo property for close to eight years and was also a part of the task force involved in training the front office staff at the Four Seasons property in Beirut, in addition to assisting across several departments at Four Seasons Hotel London at Canary Wharf.
Commenting on the appointment, Olivier Masson, the regional VP, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts said: “El Gawhary started her career with Nile Plaza during its opening in 2004 as administrative assistant, and her great passion and endless dedication earned her many promotions in the rooms division – starting from assistant front desk manager to assistant director of rooms."
A graduate of the American University in Cairo and an active member of the hotel's planning committee, El Gawhary speaks three languages – something that has definitely come in handy over the years in managing a multi-cultural team and guest profile.
"Her eagerness to handle more responsibility and roles led her to participate in many task force assignments in London and Beirut, where she did a fantastic job and made us all proud. Yasmine has always been a great example of booming energy, professionalism and enthusiasm, indeed a true Four Seasons person!," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
