Ramada Ajman posts 28pc rise in bookings

Dubai, January 3, 2012

Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, a premier destination for business and leisure travellers, has sold more than 100,000 room nights for the year 2011, an increase of 28 per cent from 2010.

Majority of the bookings in 2011 were made by Indian guests followed by US, Pakistan, Germany, Russia and the GCC. A total of 151 nationalities stayed at the property, with the Emirati families contributing about 7 per cent of the total number.

Iftikhar Hamdani, general manager of Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, said: “We are pleased to share our major accomplishment in 2011 and at the same time congratulate the staff and management in their efforts in making Ramada Ajman Hotel & Suites the top seller in rooms in the northern emirates. We are very proud of this result and we hope to continue the momentum this year and onwards!”

“We have achieved this growth because of our effort to attract both corporate and leisure segments. We have upgraded our facilities, thus, we’ve seen a 49 per cent increase in the leisure segment, apart from the corporate market that we serve.”

Hamdani mentioned that another factor which contributed to the hotel’s success is the satisfied and happy hotel employees who are making sure that guests are afforded excellent service.

This year, the 504-room property is geared towards achieving more than 20 per cent growth in profit and this will be achieved by targeting new markets and attending more travel exhibitions in countries such as China, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Germany and UK, he added. – TradeArabia News Service
