Travelport takes product road show to Saudi

Travelport, a leading provider of global distribution systems (GDS), showcased its range of Galileo products and services, to travel agents in the Hofuf region of Saudi Arabia.

Attended by 55 travel agents, the informative event helped raise awareness of the latest range of solutions available on the booking platform.

A fast-growing region for outbound travel, the GDS provider is assisting travel agencies in Hofuf to leverage technology to become more competitive.

“Our focus is to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty by rolling out enhanced GDS technology and services to all corners of the kingdom,” said Travelport’s Saudi country director Fazal Muhammed.

In addition to providing a general overview of the system, advanced solutions were highlighted by the Travelport team during the seminars, including web-based booking alternative T-Galileo, instant messaging tool T-SMS and Galileo Custom Check, a point of sale quality control tool. A preview of customised GDS scripts was also provided for agencies with more unique needs.
