Hadid unveils major expansion plans

Dubai, November 7, 2009

Dubai-based Hadid International, a leading provider of on-demand aviation services, is set to open more offices across the Gulf as part of its regional expansion strategy.

A complete flight planning company, Hadid has been operating out of the Dubai Airport Freezone since 2003 servicing flight support requirements of major airlines, air charter companies, cargo and passenger flight operations, ambulance flight operators and government flight operations.

Issa Zuriqi, regional manager of Hadid International Services, said the company set up its headquarters at Dubai Airport Freezone because of the emirate’s strategic role in the Gulf as a commercial and business hub.

“Dubai Airport Freezone is strategically located in the Gulf making it convenient for us to reach clients in the Gulf, Mena and Europe," Zuriqi added.

“We have a huge setup in Syria, and offices in Germany, UK, Russia, US, Algeria, Iran, Libya and Pakistan. Our proximity to a market such as Saudi Arabia is important as there are a lot of private jets in Saudi.”

He added that apart from charter flights and business aviation, Hadid also deals in cargo.

According to him, the aviation services sector is one of the enterprises least affected by the current worldwide financial crisis.

“The business has actually picked up in the last two months and we are planning to expand in Dubai and open up offices in other Gulf countries,” he added.

Nasser Al Madani, assistant director general of the Dubai Airport Freezone, said, “We are happy that Hadid has done outstanding work in their field and has taken advantage of Dubai Airport Freezone’s strategic location in the Gulf and Middle East to take their business to its next level and expand its operations in Dubai which will in turn boost the local economy.”-TradeArabia News Service
