All six crew members were killed when a cargo plane crashed in the United Arab Emirates near the Sharjah Airport on Wednesday, a report said.

The Sudanese cargo plane crashed two miles from the Sharjah airport shortly after take off, an official said.

'The aircraft is shattered into pieces and is completely charred and destroyed. The rescue workers are still here and working...', a cameraman said by telephone form the scene.

The crash was not in a residential area of the emirate. -Reuters
