Bahrain Air plans Nepal, India flights

Bahrain Air, the private national carrier from Bahrain, is set to launch flights to three new destinations - Kathmandu (Nepal), Kozhikode (India) and Abu Dhabi this month.
The airline, which started operations barely an year ago, continues to make inroads and is slowly marching forward, said a top airline official.
The airline at present flies to 14 destinations, said BK Majumdar, director of commercial operations and corporate planning of Bahrain Air.
Bahrain Air is set to launch three weekly services to Kathmandu in Nepal from March 17, nine weekly services to Abu Dhabi from March 29 and three weekly services to Kozhikode, India on April 1, he added.
“We are extremely satisfied that our strategy of cautious and controlled expansion to serve the business travellers and the travellers seeking the affordable price without compromising the quality of services, is paying of, when some of the competitors are struggling currently”, Majmudar added.
Bahrain Air uses modern aircraft and presently the fleet consists of two Airbus A320 and one A319 aircraft. The fourth aircraft is expected to join the company’s fleet very soon, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
