Banyan Tree Al Areen creates Ramadan Cafe

Manama, August 26, 2008

The Banyan Tree Desert Spa and Resort, Al Areen said it has created a unique Ramadan Cafe at its Arabian-styled tower of Vertigo.

Vertigo offers starlit views across the desert and the ambience is further enhanced by colourful lamps, lavish furnishings and the authentic fragrance of an aromatic shisha.

The boutique spa and resort is ensuring guests enjoy a full range of traditional dining options and festivities from sunset to sunrise, said a statement.

Ghabgha diners can enjoy an outstanding a la carte menu including an extensive variety of local and regional delicacies as well a wide selection of juices, teas and coffees, it said.

Banyan Tree's team of award winning chefs have also planned daily preparation of the culinary feast that begins each Iftar.

As the long day of fasting draws to an end with Maghrib (sunset), families can gather at the Lobby Lounge to enjoy a lavish selection of freshly prepared fruit juices and customary dates before heading on to the formal Iftar Buffet.

The resort's Rimal restaurant has planned a traditional Arabic theme, offering guests an extensive Iftar buffet of both local and regional Middle Eastern dishes priced at BD14.5 ($37) per person.

It said diners can select from exquisitely prepared hot and cold appetisers and an array of succulent main courses as well as an assortment of customary pastries and desserts.

Banyan Tree is also offering guests the opportunity to reserve exclusive private Iftar/Ghabga events either at the Tamarind restaurant or the Ballroom.

A special Ramadan Package is also on offer, including overnight accommodation in a luxurious private pool villa, a selection of freshly prepared fruit juices and dates at sunset, an Iftar Buffet in Rimal, a special Ramadan gift as well as a specially prepared in-villa Sohour before sunrise.

Rates start from BD251 for a Desert Pool Villa and BD561 for a Royal Pool Villa and are subject to 15 per cent service charge and 5 per cent government levy.

Offer is valid during the Holy Month of Ramadan 2008 and subject to availability.

Maximum occupancy for Desert Pool Villa is 2 adults and 2 children and 4 adults and 4 children for the Royal Pool Villa. - TradeArabia News Service
