Singapore experts to refurbish Gulf Air cabins

Manama, April 30, 2008

Gulf Air’s cabins are going to get a major uplift.

A team of highly qualified engineers from Singapore will work with the airline's maintenance personnel in refurbishing the aircraft interiors of Bahrain’s national carrier.

The engineers from SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC), a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, will begin work immediately as scheduled, said Gulf Air CEO Björn Näf.

“SIAEC has a long history of excellence and the dedicated team will join forces with our in house engineering team to cater to our immediate needs, helping us refurbish our cabins in the shortest time possible and our customers will see visible changes,” said Näf.

“This is the part of our initiative to become the airline of choice. We want to give our customers an unforgettable travel experience that  incorporates our outstanding on-time performance with an excellent onboard ambience and service,” said Näf.

Gulf Air has been the most reliable airline in the region for the first three months of 2008 and the company is also introducing a customer-friendly schedule to enhance passenger travel.

“SIAEC’s dedication to on-time delivery and high maintenance standards will help Gulf Air in its plan to be the airline of choice,” added Näf . - TradeArabia News Service
