Emirates has launched an Emirates World retail store in Manila, Philippines – its first in Southeast Asia. Unveiling an immersive travel experience, the launch marks a significant milestone in the airline’s commitment to redefining travel retail for its customers.
Located in Shangri-La The Fort, Bonifacio Global City, the 221-square-metre store was inaugurated by Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim. The event was attended by the Philippines’ First Lady, Liza Araneta Marcos, UAE Ambassador to the Philippines, Mohamed Obaid Al Qataam Al Zaabi, and other dignitaries, media, and trade partners.
Adnan Kazim stated, “The new Emirates World Store in Manila serves as a one-stop shop where customers can explore Emirates’ best-in-class products and services. This retail space provides a glimpse of our onboard hospitality and excellence, raising the bar for travel retail in the Philippines and beyond. It reflects our strategy to bring the Emirates experience closer to our customers.”
The store features an Emirates A380 onboard Lounge display, offering visitors a first-hand look at the premium touches that define Emirates’ in-flight luxury. Customers can also explore a curated selection of Emirates-branded merchandise, including the latest NBA collection.
Equipped with smart technologies, the store includes an interactive self-service screen for browsing flight options and availability. The Emirates World Store exemplifies the airline’s commitment to the Philippines by enhancing customer service and retail innovation.
Emirates has launched similar reimagined retail spaces in Dubai, Hong Kong, London, and Nairobi. With an investment of AED 100 million, the airline plans to roll out more stores globally over the next three years.
Emirates began operations in Manila in 1990 and later expanded to include Cebu and Clark. Currently, the airline offers 28 weekly flights, providing 22,700 weekly seats between the Philippines and Dubai, connecting passengers to over 140 destinations.
The airline’s interline agreement with Philippine Airlines has further expanded its network to include more domestic and international points. This partnership enhances connectivity for travellers to destinations like Amman, Cape Town, Dublin, and Riyadh via Dubai.
Passengers flying with Emirates enjoy a regionally inspired culinary experience, award-winning in-flight entertainment with over 6,500 channels, and unmatched hospitality, solidifying its reputation as the world’s largest international airline. - TradeArabia News Service
