Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) said it has introduced a trade-in service for the first time in the UAE.

CBG is one of Huawei's three business groups, providing a range of products including mobile phones, wearables, tablets and laptops.

The Huawei Trade-in Service helps customers instantly exchange their old android and iOS smartphones at the Huawei service centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for a new Huawei smartphone or accessories, said a statement from the company.

As an introductory offer, customers availing the trade-in service from now until June 30, will get an additional bonus coupon of Dh200 ($54.45) for the old phone that can be used to buy a new device, a free laser carving voucher as well as a surprise gift by Huawei, it said.

The free engraving services for customers allows them to carve personalised messages on their family and friend’s devices, it added.

"With Eid festivities almost upon us, customers can now take advantage for the trade-in service and easily fulfil their wish list for the new Huawei P20 Pro or the Mate 10 Pro with breakthrough AI capabilities and even from a wide range of Huawei accessories, said a company spokesman.
