Lebanon’s Khoury Home nets $10m sales in five days

Lebanon’s leading retailer of household products, Khoury Home, has dubbed its 2016 Black Friday promotion ‘a smashing success’ with the company netting $10 million in sales within 5 days of the launch of the sale.

The record-breaking Black Friday Sale offered shoppers the opportunity to purchase a wide range of household items and electronics at up to 70 per cent off, including its newly introduced categories such as Home Decoration & Housewares, Christmas Decoration, and Linen & Furniture, said a statement from the Lebanese firm.

Customers were able to take advantage of Khoury Home’s deep discounts both at its ten branches that cover Lebanon’s vast regions, and online via its official website, it stated.

The Lebanese retailer pointed out that the 2016 campaign marked the highest sales figure ever achieved in its decade-long history.

The campaign's introduction in 2014 yielded a resounding success, achieving record sales of $3.2 million, over the course of three days, it stated.

Following the unprecedented achievement, Khoury Home extended its Black Friday promotion to four days in 2015, which resulted in an even more impressive sales figure that reached $5 million, it stated.

In 2016, the household retailer has outdone itself once more by doubling the previous season’s number.

"To say that we are delighted with this year’s Black Friday campaign is an understatement. This is an extraordinary achievement, to say the least. Not just because our sales reached an all-time high and far exceeded our expectations, but also because of how the whole experience played out and how the operation has been beautifully orchestrated by every employee, colleague and Khoury Home department," remarked Romen Mathieu, its chairman and CEO.

"It was passion and dedication at their finest. It was also a testament to the synergy created by our corporate culture, sound policies, and more importantly putting our customers ‘front and center’ in everything that we do," noted Mathieu.
