Gitex Shopper Spring and Shopper Smart Living, a major consumer electronics exhibition, is set to kick off tomorrow (March 30) in Dubai, UAE with more than 35,000 tech products and smart home appliances.

The shopping extravaganza will open at 11am at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and will run until April 2.

The world’s top tech brands and the regional power retailers including Jacky’s Electronics, Jumbo, E-Max Electronics, Plug Ins, Sharaf DG and Samsung, have promised exciting new product launches and unbeatable deals across the full range of technology, communication and entertainment products being showcased.

Products include the latest mobile phones and smartphones, tablets, laptops, HD TVs, cameras, gaming consoles, photographic equipment, wearable tech, smart home and lifestyle appliances, white goods and more.

A number of new zones being introduced this year include the ‘Xbox Gaming Zone’ and ‘This Hot! That's Cool!’ experience zone, offering visitors the opportunity to test and experience the latest technologies, new launches and gadgets that are available for purchase or will be coming soon.

The latest cool and trendy gadgets are also up for grabs in the Gitex Shopper Spring competition which started earlier this month on Arabian Radio Network (ARN), and include Oppo smartphones, Canon products and Fuji Instax Mini Cameras.

Designed to look like a high-tech dream home, the new zone is a dedicated area that demonstrates the user-friendliness of smart home systems, offering visitors an opportunity to go hands-on with the latest innovations in smart home technology.

Students visiting the show will have the opportunity to submit their best report cards to win one of four university scholarships offered by Amity University Dubai.
