Gitex Shopper wins $19,000 worth gold

A 25-year old Gitex Shopper won Dh70,000 ($19,057) worth of gold, which is being given everyday during the eight-day event through the 'Sweet' app daily draw.
“I am delighted to be one of the eight lucky winners to win a half kilogram at Gitex Shopper; I can’t express my feelings after winning this valuable prize. My initial thought is to sell half the gold to buy jewellery for my mother and sister, and to save the other half for the future,” said Denzil Melcolm.
All visitors spending Dh500 or more at the show are eligible for the daily prize draw with a half kilogram of gold given away every day, said a statement.
To take part, visitors need simply to upload their invoices on the ‘Sweet’ app, easily downloadable on both iOS and Android devices, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
