Banned Indian spices 'still being sold in Bahrain'

MANAMA, September 18, 2015

A popular spices brand that has been banned in India because it poses a health risk is still being sold in Bahrain, it has emerged. Kerala-based Nirapara was taken off shelves in the Indian state earlier this month because tests showed its products contained dangerous levels of starch, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
